Is Harris County Prepared for a Major Hurricane?

Hurricane Harvey: Analysis and Comparisons

Over a 4-day period during Hurricane Harvey, a portion of Harris County received 47 inches. This is more than 87% of our average annual rainfall of 55 inches per year at the first order climate site at Hobby Airport. At the official Houston weather station at Bush IAH Airport, the recorded rainfall from January 1 to August 31, 2017 was 70.8 inches or more than 140%

HOUSTON – Harris Health System and Christus will provide free immunizations for children at several Precinct Three Centers. The free immunizations are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Flood control officials are still warning trail users and park patrons to take special care to keep away from heavy equipment in work areas and to be patient. Much of the work is still being done. Crews are at the mercy of the weather and large equipment and vehicles will be entering the park from major streets like North Wilcrest, Kirkwood and Dairy Ashford.

EZ TAG customers:
REMINDER TIME TO check your account!

The Harris County Toll Road Authority would like to remind customers to log on to hctra.org and make sure your EZ TAG account has a positive balance and all license plates are up-to-date. These simple steps can help customers avoid the hassle and surprise of receiving a bill for unpaid tolls in the mail.
