Falls are the leading cause of injury death for Americans 65 years or older. Each year, about 35-40% of adults 65 and older fall at least once.—Center for Disease Control.
The main objectives in a Fall Prevention program are to:
¨ Increase independence with Activities of Daily Living
¨ Increase independence with functional mobility
¨ Decrease fall risk
¨ Prevent future falls
¨ Increase safety
Falling is not a part of aging, you have the power to prevent a fall.

Tai chi is an ancient Chinese martial art that was developed to help a person’s physical and emotional well-being. It is a combination of moving yoga and meditation. People believe that Tai Chi could improve health by practicing the exercises.
Please wear comfortable workout clothes.
Brazilian Embroidery is a wonderful three-dimensional stitchery technique that can be used alone to create wonderful pictures, pillows, linens, wearable art, personal accessories and whatever else your needle can stitch through.

Many homeowners are frustrated with ever-increasing property taxes. In this class, you will learn the various strategies which you can use when arguing your case before an appraisal review board, to keep your property taxes down.
Myers has used these methods when negotiating for lower evaluation (and hence taxes) before the appraisal board, and has also helped other homeowners to do the same.

Parkinson’s Disease Services
Do you, a family member, or a friend have Parkinson’s Disease?
PD FIT is a not for profit organization that serves those affected by Parkinson’s in our community.
PD FIT have a mission to serve families living with the disease through a family friendly approach. We feel that absolutely no one should feel alone living with this disease.
PD FIT currently offer various programs in the community FREE of charge. A non-contact Parkinson’s boxing class will be offered and instructed by a person living with Parkinson’s Disease. Participants only need to provide their own boxing gloves for sanitary reasons. Extra gloves are available free to use though.
