Dancing is a unique form of exercise because it provides the heart-healthy benefits of an aerobic exercise while also allowing you to engage in a social activity. This is especially stimulating to the mind. A Stanford Study reports it helps to reduce dementia because it relies on mental effort. The 21-year study of senior citizens, 75 and older, was led by the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, funded by the National Institute on Aging, and published in the New England Journal of Medicine. Dancing is excellent for the body and brain! We have line dancing three days a week with three different instructors.
